This procedure is much more difficult and demanding for the orthopedist, due to: to the fact that it is a replacement of the prosthesis. The revision knee replacement surgery is performed under general anesthesia and usually takes about 2 hours. On the day of the procedure, the patient receives full antibiotic protection and antithrombotic prophylaxis.
